About

Meet Veronica Thompson

Veronica Thompson is the lead designer and co-owner of La Grange Window Coverings in Windsor, CA, which she founded with Greg Thompson. Together they built the business around a more personal, design-led approach to window treatments, working hands-on with homeowners across Sonoma and Marin County. Veronica is a Hunter Douglas Authorized Dealer, a Somfy motorization partner, and WCMA child-safety certified.

Their Story

How La Grange Window Coverings Began

Greg and Veronica Thompson started La Grange Window Coverings because they believed window treatments deserved more care than they usually get. So much of how a room feels comes down to its light, and they wanted to give local homeowners a more personal, design-led way to get it right rather than a rushed, catalog-style sale.

Greg came to La Grange Window Coverings from the installation side. For more than a decade he worked as a contracted installer for Hunter Douglas dealers throughout the North Bay, work that placed him among the top installers in the country for efficiency and customer satisfaction and earned him invitations to take part in Hunter Douglas product beta tests. Co-founding the business marked his move from installer to owner and dealer in his own right, and that hands-on field experience shapes how every project is measured and installed.

From her base at 8944 Brooks Rd S in Windsor, she works hands-on with homeowners across Sonoma and Marin County. Every project starts with a complimentary in-home consultation, where she brings full-size fabric samples to look at in your own light, measures each window carefully, and talks through how you actually live in the room. She enjoys the practical side as much as the creative side, and she treats each window treatment as part of the home rather than an afterthought.

That ranges from quiet motorized shades for big glass-wall rooms to plantation shutters and drapery that suit an older home, plus smart-home automation and UV protection for spaces with art, hardwood, or wine. Whatever the project, the goal is the same: window coverings that feel like they belong, and a process that feels personal from the first visit to the final install.
